RITA ORA POSES FOR COMPLEX MAGAZINE!

Building up hype as she nears the release of her debut album, Rita Ora garnered herself a little added exposure by covering the August/September 2012 issue of Complex magazine. The 21-year-old British singer-songwriter showed off her hotness in a top, skirt and sneakers by Adidas Originals for Opening Ceremony accessorized with a bangle and watch from Cartier and Ben Amun bracelets on the Zoe McConnell shot front page. Dishing about everything from pre-concert nerves and working with Jay-Z to her relationship standing with Rob Kardashian and Rihanna rumors, a few highlights from Miss Ora's interview are as follows. For more, be sure to pay a visit to Complex! On her situation with rumored boyfriend Rob Kardashian: “I mean, it’s not really a relationship. It’s not that intense. He’s a cool guy. We’re close. We’re good friends. I got his back and he’s got mine. To me, it doesn’t matter who you are or where you’re from—if you’re a good person and you got my back, I got yours. It’s that easy for me.” On no longer being starstruck by Jay-Z: “I was when I first got signed, knowing what he’s done and the empire he’s created. But he’s one of the nicest people I’ve ever met. He made me feel so at ease that I forgot he was Jay for a minute. He turned into this brother figure and an amazing boss.” On her pre-show anxiety: “I get nervous before shows and then I’m just like, OK—let’s go. It’s like, you can’t f**k it up now ’cause everybody’s watching you. It’s more of a rush—like an adrenaline high.” On being cool with Rihanna, despite rumors saying otherwise: “I admire Rihanna. She works her a** off. She hasn’t had a break and she has given people hit after hit after hit. That work ethic and discipline is hardcore. That’s the kind of s**t that I want to do. That I will do." She adds, “Everyone thought that we hated each other, but the whole thing was created by the media. That’s what’s so funny."

JESSICA ALBA GRACES THE COVER OF ELLE MAGAZINE!

Jessica Alba: The Girl Can't Help It! ELLE magazine's December cover star – mother, wife, and Ben Stiller's costar in this month's 'Little Fockers' – is poised to remake her image…as Lucille Ball. Everyone from her director Paul Weitz to Dustin Hoffman says she's going to pull it off. Check out a sneak peek of ELLE's interview and photo shoot with Jessica Alba below!

On owning up to her choice of roles:
"I know I haven't been swimming in the deep end with some of the movies I've done. I wasn't trying to. I knew what they were."

On her personality:
"I'm shy. I don't like being the center of attention. But when I do comedy, I lose all inhibition and introspection. I no longer care."

On gaining confidence in her craft:
"I'd been so afraid of criticism ever since I was young. Every time I'd get a critique or some redirection, I'd always just take it very personally, but now I have no problem with it. It's just a chance to try things a different way. To play more with a character. It also gives me a chance to have some input, to use my voice."

On acting:
"Good actors, never use the script unless it's amazing writing. All the good actors I've worked with, they all say whatever they want to say."

On being selective with her roles:
"The time I'm not spending with my kid has to be worth it, so when I sat down with my agents after I was ready to go back to work, I told them: It's all about the directors."

On her feelings towards being a leading lady:
"Now I prefer I'm not the lead. It's a totally different approach—way better."

On her early comedic inspiration:

"When I was a kid, I watched Lucille Ball every day. I watched Steve MartinChevy Chase, and Peter Sellers."

The December Issue of ELLE Magazine, featuring Jessica Alba, is on newsstands everywhere November 17!

JUST BLAZE TALKS NEW TV SHOW & JAY ELECTRONICA COLLABO

When he isn’t producing chart-topping records for the likes of Jay-Z, T.I., and Rihanna, New Jersey native Just Blaze lends his talents to another calling. Just’s passion for video games and film have landed him work on such projects as the Def Jam Rap Star video game and producing the theme song to the recent A-Team movie.

During the launch party for his new studio space at StadiumRed in New York City, the multi-platinum producer spoke on several new projects that will add a few more notches to his belt.

“There’s something else video game and music related that I might be working on. It’s so early, though—we’ve only been two conversations about it. But it will probably have a lot of haters upset, again,” Just tells VIBE with a chuckle, from behind his new console. “I’m also working on a TV show. It’s not just a pitch thing—we’re almost done shooting. I took the downtime I had from making music to do something different, jump on the small screen a little bit. “

Just says he watched Wu-Tang’s RZA find early success in Hollywood and actually picked his brain before expanding his resume past the rap beats.

“I sat next to RZA on a plane, and we chopped it up about expanding our talents. He told me that he knew he had to diversify a long time ago,” says Just on his chance meeting with the RZA. “I definitely admire him for his early move into Hollywood.”

Fans of Blaze’s cinematic production can rest assure that he hasn’t ditched hip-hop for Hollywood. With his new studio setup finally ready to go, Just says he’s already booked for multiple sessions for the rest of the year. However, hopeful hip-hop heads who’ve been praying to the rap gods for another Just Blaze and Jay Electronica collaboration will just have to remain patient.

“Jay and I are going to be coming out with something soon. We do have a bunch of records done, but I don’t want to drop anything else without a purpose. There has to be a bigger picture,” Just explains. “We’ve had conversations about what the next step is, but have finalized any release dates yet or anything. Before, we just were very free spirited. We never even planned on putting 'Exhibit C' out on a specific date. We just brought it up to Tony Touch one day.” —Mikey Fresh

THE NEW LT OF NEW YORK! RUNNING BACK LaDAINIAN TOMLINSON SIGNS 2-YEAR DEAL WITH NEW YORK JETS!

LaDainian Tomlinson(notes) is bolting for the Big Apple.Tomlinson’s agent, Tom Condon, said Sunday that the New York Jets signed the former Chargers running back to a two-year contract. The Jets confirmed that they have agreed to a deal, adding the aging star to the NFL’s top-ranked rushing offense last season. “He wanted to go to a team that he thought had a chance to compete for the championship,” Condon told The Associated Press in a telephone interview. “He wanted to go somewhere where he had a chance to have a significant role, and so with the Jets he also was going to be very familiar with the offensive system.”

The Jets reached the AFC championship game last season, eliminating Tomlinson and the Chargers along the way.

The 2006 NFL MVP, cut last month by San Diego, chose New York over Minnesota after visiting the Vikings on Thursday. Tomlinson spent Friday with the Jets, capping it with dinner with coach Rex Ryan, general manager Mike Tannenbaum and other team officials.

The Jets went after Tomlinson hard even though he turns 31 in June, is coming off his least productive season and there are questions whether he has much left. New York apparently still saw plenty to like from Tomlinson, who ranks eighth on the NFL’s career rushing list with 12,490 yards, and gave him a deal worth about $5.2 million.

Once one of the NFL’s most dynamic players, Tomlinson is expected to back up second-year running back Shonn Greene(notes), who emerged in his rookie season and made Thomas Jones(notes) expendable. Jones signed with Kansas City last week after running for a career-high 1,402 yards and 14 touchdowns.

Tomlinson was welcomed to the Jets by several of his new teammates on Twitter, including left tackle Damien Woody(notes), defensive endMike DeVito(notes) and All-Pro cornerback Darrelle Revis(notes).

“Good move by the organization,” Revis tweeted. “I couldn’t be more excited about this.”

Added Woody: “LaDainian running behind our line … I think he’ll put up better numbers than people think.”

Former Chargers teammate Antonio Cromartie(notes), acquired by the Jets before the trade deadline on March 4, said: “Congrats to my homie L.T.”

The Jets were already selling Tomlinson jerseys on their official Web site within minutes of announcing the deal. The $80 green and white replicas are without a jersey number for now; third-year cornerbackDwight Lowery(notes) currently wears Tomlinson’s familiar No. 21.

Tomlinson ran for 730 yards—his first season under 1,000—on 223 carries for an average of 3.3 yards per carry, all career lows. He scored 12 touchdowns, but his role was reduced in an offense that shifted its focus to quarterback Philip Rivers(notes) and the passing game.

He’s still regarded as an excellent route runner and superb receiver, two qualities that made him attractive to both New York and Minnesota.

Tomlinson is the latest high-profile player to be signed, drafted or acquired by the Jets in the last few years, joining Cromartie, Brett Favre(notes), Kris Jenkins(notes), Mark Sanchez(notes), Bart Scott(notes) and Braylon Edwards(notes).

With the Jets moving into the new Meadowlands Stadium, the 82,500-seat, $1.6 billion home they’ll share with the Giants, Tomlinson’s star power could potentially help the team sell more personal seat licenses.

More than that, though, New York hopes Tomlinson’s contributions on the field are greater. While he likely won’t be the focal point of the offense, as he had been for so many years with the Chargers—a role he has said he’s OK with—the Jets are hoping he can still be a dangerous presence with the ball in his hands.

He’s also familiar with the Jets’ style of offense and coordinator Brian Schottenheimer, who was San Diego’s quarterbacks coach from 2002-05. The Jets have Sanchez returning for a second season, along with a solid offensive line that helped pave the way for New York to average a league-leading 172.2 yards on the ground per game.

Those factors might have helped the Jets beat out the Vikings for Tomlinson’s services. While Minnesota was also just a game away from the Super Bowl, the uncertainty surrounding Favre’s return might have caused Tomlinson to hesitate about signing with the Vikings.

Tomlinson met with Minnesota team officials Thursday, but left for the New York area without a deal. He then spent all of Friday with the Jets—touring the team’s facility and the new stadium—before returning home to San Diego to mull his options on Saturday.

He was drafted with the fifth overall pick in 2001 out of TCU, and immediately became a star as he helped the Chargers become a perennial playoff contender. His 138 career touchdowns rushing rank second in NFL history, and his 153 total touchdowns rank third.

AP Sports Writer Bernie Wilson in San Diego and AP Football Writer Barry Wilner contributed to this report.
