Rumors that Electro will be the villain in "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" might be true after all. Variety shares the scoop that an actor has been approached to play the supervillain, and he is none other than the "Django Unchained" leading man Jamie Foxx. Multiple sources, however, note that Foxx is still in early talks with Sony Pictures. Still, the Oscar-winning "Ray" actor manages to add fuel to his casting report as tweeting, "Dressed up as Electro for Halloween last night. Costume fits well." Though Foxx hasn't been confirmed for the part, director Marc Webb has already made a comment on the actor's possible involvment in the Spidey film. "I think Jamie Foxx is electrifying," he says at the press junket of "The Amazing Spider-Man" DVD/Blu-ray release. "I think Jamie Foxx is one of the best actors around today. He's such a great character actor and he's a really brilliant guy. I would love to work with him and you'll be hearing more on that shortly, I'm sure." Of Electro himself, Webb says, "I like Electro." He goes on, "I'm fascinated by Norman Osborn and the different inflections of him. And Harry. Mary Jane and Gwen are always interesting to me." For those who are unfamiliar with Electro, the antagonist is also known as Max Dillon. He gains the ability to control electricity after being struck by lightning while working on a power line. The character first appeared in The Amazing Spider-Man #9, which was published in February 1964. Speculations that Electro will appear in the "Amazing Spider-Man" sequel sparked after audience noticed lightning that was prominently featured in the post-credit scene of the first film. In it, Dr. Curt Connors was locked in an asylum and he was visited by a mysterious figure who asked if Peter Parker knew the truth about his father. The upcoming Spidey sequel will bring back Webb as the director. Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone will also return as Peter and his first love Gwen Stacy respectively. Though Gwen will still make appearance, the sequel reportedly will also feature Peter's other love interest Mary Jane Watson, who reportedly will be played by Shailene Woodley. "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" will make its way out onto the U.S. cinemas on May 2, 2014.
No Doubt gave double treats to their fans on Tuesday, September 25. In addition to releasing their highly-anticipated comeback album "Push and Shove" on the day, the Gwen Stefani-fronted band drop a music video in support of the title track of the record. The newly-released black-and-white clip sees Gwen and her bandmates, Tony Kanal, Tom Dumont and Andrian Young, having fun like teenagers as they hit the streets at night and dance around crazily. Also featured in the video is Jamaican dancehall artist Busy Signal and producer duo Major Lazer. While promoting "Push and Shove", the Anaheim quartet recently stopped by MTV News and shared what were their favorite songs in the album. Bassist Kanal gushed, " 'Undercover' is a song I'm super in love with right now, because it was the first song we wrote on this album. It was the breakthrough song." Guatarist Dumont added, "I love all the songs on the album, and I think for me, personally, I love albums the most where you don't have to forward past filler, and I don't want to presume to make that judgment on our album, but for me, I feel like every song is pretty awesome." Gwen and drummer Young, meanwhile, picked the titular song as their favorite track. " 'Push and Shove' has something really exciting about it," said Young. "We were in New York with Sophie Muller, and we did a one-camera, one-light shoot on the streets of New York, and even though it's not an official single, we made a video for it anyway, because we were really excited to put some visuals behind it."

Denise Richards was billed to guest star on "90210". The former Bond girl will stop by the famous zip code for the show's 100th episode, which is slated to air November 26, portraying Gwen who is a West Beverly High School alum. She crosses path with Naomi (AnnaLynne McCord), who is willing to do anything to become a member of this club, until she realizes it's really a grown up version of a "Mean Girls" clique from high school. The third season of the teen drama series will premiere Monday, October 8 at 8 P.M. on The CW. Canadian singing sensation Carly Rae Jepsen and Olympic medalist Ryan Lochte are also set to make appearance on the show.

19 year old Conor Maynard is the next big thing out of the UK, armed with a fresh, young style and an energetic pop R&B sound. Radio stations and TV channels have been adding his debut single and video, "Can't Say No," to their playlists in ever-increasing numbers. BBC Radio 1's Scott Mills recently crowned the song with the coveted 'Record of the Week' title, joining hits by Nicki Minaj, LMFAO, and David Guetta.
Conor's growing fan base, known as ‘Mayniacs,' lived up to their name earlier this month by stopping traffic, singing along to "Can’t Say No," and deafening bystanders with their screaming when Conor played his third-ever gig at the sold-out Islington Academy in London. The Daily Star said Conor “was swamped by hysteria as the self-dubbed Mayniacs vied for his attention and swooned each refrain of the teen idol’s debut. Conor Maynard is hell-bent on a meteoric rise.”
The young superstar-in-the-making was recently flown out to Miami by Pharrell Williams (N.E.R.D. front man and hit-maker for Jay-Z, Justin Timberlake, Gwen Stefani and many more) to record new tracks for his debut album. The video for "Can’t Say No," has had nearly 1.8 million views on Youtube with 750,000 in just one week.
"Can’t Say No" is out on April 16th through Parlophone Records, with the album to follow later this Summer. For more on Conor, visit his official site at conor-maynard.com.
