COOL RUNNINGS 2! U.S. TRACK STAR LOLO JONES MAKES U.S. BOBSLED TEAM!
American hurdler Lolo Jones, who fell short of her goal of winning a medal at the 2012 London Olympics, probably has a new set of goals in mind now that she's been selected to the United States bobsled team, according to the Associated Press (h/t ABC News). Jones was one of several track and field stars given the chance to earn a spot on the squad, and she made it as a push athlete. The selection gives her an opportunity to make the final team that will represent the country at the 2014 Winter Games in Sochi. "It was definitely a thrill," Jones said, per the AP. "This is definitely the first time I've made a team and I haven't had to cross the finish line and look at the scoreboard." The 30-year-old Iowa native first skyrocketed to fame four years ago during the buildup to the last Olympics, establishing herself as a top contender in the 100-meter hurdles. But she failed in the medal race after stumbling over a hurdle. Her Olympic struggles continued in London. After strong performances in her first two heats, Jones was only able to muster a fourth-place finish in the final. Once again, she missed the podium despite high expectations stateside. Jones' high level of exposure combined with her lack of results on her sport's biggest stages has led to plenty of criticism. It was highlighted by a scathing piece in The New York Times about her use of sex appeal to attract attention. Now, she gets a chance to prove the doubters wrong in a completely new sport. Her performances during the testing must have been impressive enough to catch the eye of the coaches, who had no shortage of options for the 24 roster spots. Her athleticism should make her a good fit for the fast-paced sport, which is always trying to attract track and field athletes to join the fray. Jones gave it a chance and could now make appearances at both the Summer and Winter Games, a terrific feat. The AP report states she's still planning on making another run toward hurdling gold in 2016, as well.

MILA KUNIS NAMED 2012 ESQUIRE MAGAZINE SEXIEST WOMAN ALIVE!
Mila Kunis is "Sexiest Woman Alive" Esquire version. The "Black Swan" actress appeared topless on the magazine's November issue cover and said confidently on the interview, "If I wanted to charm the pants off you, I could." Kunis is not just "sexy" but stayed true to herself. "What I do and who I am are two different things," she said. "And they always will be. What happens with people is they lose sight of who they are, and they become either who they want to be or they are perceived to be. I've consciously separated my two lives. I love what I do. I couldn't imagine doing anything else. But when I'm done with work, I'm done with work." All of that has something to do with her upbringing. "I think that if I bought into the hype, I would lose all sight of who I am, and so much of who I am is what my parents went through and instilled in me. And I never want to lose that. Ever. Because I would be so disappointed if I didn't make them proud."

ABC FAMILY RENEW HIT SHOW PRETTY LITTLE LIARS FOR A FOURTH SEASON!
ABC Family has a big faith on Lucy Hale-starring teen drama thriller "Pretty Little Liars", giving it a fourth season renewal. The cable network has gone ahead to pick up 24 more episodes that will air starting next year. Michael Riley, president of ABC Family announced Thursday, October 4, that a new season will debut mid-2013 after the conclusion of season 3 that begins its second half in January. The renewal came as inevitable for "Pretty Little Liars" is the network's No.1 series of all time in its key demos. The show hits 18-34 (1.2 million), female teens (1 million), viewers 12-34 (2.6 million) and females 12-34 (2.2 million). The series will first have a special Halloween episode in the coming weeks. The network's annual "13 Nights of Halloween" presents a Halloween-themed episode of "PLL" on October 23 at 8 P.M.

SETH MACFARLANE TO HOST THE 2013 OSCARS!
As if Seth MacFarlane’s stock couldn’t get any higher, Deadline has just broken the news that the Family Guy creator will host the upcoming Oscars on ABC. After the success of Ted, and his recent hosting gig on Saturday Night Live, it appears as if the Academy feels that he’s ready to take that next step in show biz. MacFarlane is an inspired choice because he can bring in a younger demographic – which Billy Crystal couldn’t do last year – and he can also perform musical numbers, impersonations, and a bit of stand-up comedy to inject some life into the aging awards show. We’ll see how he does when the 85th Annual Academy Awards airs on February 24, 2013.
