Do you believe in Magic? For an astounding $2.15 billion dollars, a sum decided Tuesday night, Frank McCourt believes. That's how much the Los Angeles Dodgers will cost Magic Johnson's group, the Wall Street Journal reports. Johnson's consortium beat out two others — one that included St. Louis Rams owner Stan Kroenke, and another that included billionaire Steve Cohen and former major league manager Tony La Russa. The record amount for a major league team would top the $845 billion the Ricketts family paid in 2010 for the Chicago Cubs and, most importantly to Dodgers fans, would take McCourt out of the Dodgers ownership loop after eight years. McCourt bought the franchise for $430 million but took into into bankruptcy. Well, he won't be bankrupt anymore once the deal closes. Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times reports that there was no auction for the team, and that Magic's group also would control the parking lots around Dodger Stadium. (McCourt reportedly had been haggling over them.) Johnson plans a news conference Wednesday in New York (but it's highly unlikely that he's moving the Dodgers back to Brooklyn). Most of the money to buy the team wouldn't come from Johnson himself but from a firm called Guggenheim Baseball Partners, whose CEO is Mark Walter. Baseball operations would be headed by Stan Kasten, who used to be president of the Washington Nationals and, more successfully beforehand, the Atlanta Braves. So Dodgers fans can rejoice because the McCourt nightmare is ending, and because it's Magic to the rescue. Johnson, famous of course for being one of the best players in NBA history with the Los Angeles Lakers, has become even more respected in business. But just because you're a great former NBA player, it doesn't make you a great team owner — just ask Michael Jordan, who owns the NBA's Charlotte Bobcats. But Magic pledges to bring the Dodgers back to greatness.

15. Bret Hart/Lex Lugar/Yokozuna Wrestlemania 10:

Feud Summary: In the greatest finish in Royal Rumble history, Bret Hart and Lex Lugar managed to eliminate each other at the exact same time causing WWE President Jack Tunney to declare both men winners of the 1994 Royal Rumble match and granting them both a WWE title match against Yokozuna at Wrestlemania 10, where for the first time ever the WWE title would be defended two times in same night. After winning the coin toss, Lex Lugar would get first crack at Yokozuna and Bret Hart would take on the winner of that match later on that night.

14. Hulk Hogan/ Macho Man Randy Savage Wrestlemania 5:

Feud Summary: No tag team in the late 80's was bigger or more powerful than Hulk Hogan and The Macho Man Randy Savage aka “The Mega Powers”. Hogan and Savage were the two biggest names in the sport at the time and dominated the tag-team division during their tag-team run. In the winter of 89', Savage grew annoyed at Hogan and Ms. Elizabeth professional relationship, leading him to turn on Hogan and attack him from behind after a tag-team match. A raged Hogan challenged Savage for the WWE title at Wrestlemania 5 in what many experts titled the match “Mega Powers Explodes”.

Feud Summary: This was more of an “epic build up” than a feud as these three teams ruled the tag team scene in the early 2000's. At the 2000 Summerslam, The Hardy Boyz, Dudley Boyz, and Edge and Christian gave us one of the greatest matches in WWE history with the first ever Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match. Now the first match was great, but when the WWE announced that there would be a TLC II; fans were left with anticipation and excitement wondering what could these three teams possibly come up with to top the first match? Feud Summary: In the first ever “Hell in a Cell” match between The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels, The Undertaker was well on his way to winning the match. Then all of sudden, the entire arena goes dark and devilish music begins to play. Out of no where, a masked monster walks down to the ring and rips the steel door off of the cell and tombstone piledrives The Undertaker to hell causing him to lose the match. We would all learn later that the person that attack The Undertaker was indeed his long lost brother Kane. Eventhough Kane cost him the match, The Undertaker vowed to his parents he would never fight his brother. After Kane locked The Undertaker in a casket and set it ablaze, The Undertaker told the world that he went to hell and told his parents that he would have to break his vow to them and would fight Kane at Wrestlemania 14.

Feud Summary: After being the only member of the Hart family to be eliminated during the 1993 Survivor Series, Owen Hart confronted his older brother Bret Hart about causing him to get eliminated in the match. After the confrontation, Owen Hart became frustrated with Bret causing him to attack him from behind after a match at the 1994 Royal Rumble. Bret Hart earned a title shot with Yokozuna at Wrestlemania 10, but he also agreed to face his brother Owen that same night. Owen wanted to prove to the world that he was the best wrestler in the Hart family and finally get out of Bret's shadow.

10. Razor Ramon/Shawn Michaels Wrestlemania 10:

Feud Summary: “Say Hello to the Real Champ!”, WWE President Jack Tunney stripped Shawn Michaels of the Intercontinental belt for not defending the title enough. One man loss is another person gain and Razor Ramon gained the title after winning the invitational battle royal. Eventhough he was stripped of the belt, Shawn Michaels still walked around with his intercontinental belt and refused to acknowledge Ramon as the true intercontinental champion. WWE president Jack Tunney decided to put Michaels and Ramon in a match that would determine once and for all who is the true intercontinental champion by hanging both belts high in the air.

9. Lawrence Taylor/Bam Bam Bigelow Wrestlemania 11:

Feud Summary: Lawrence Taylor was a special VIP guest at the 1995 Royal Rumble. After losing in the finals of the tag-team tournament, Bam Bam Bigelow was getting laughed at and made fun of by WWE fans causing him to get very angry. In mist of his anger, Bam Bam notice Taylor sitting at ringside and began to talk smack to Taylor. When Taylor began to respond back, Bigelow pushed LT down into his seat and challenged him to wrestling match. Angered that Bigelow put his hands on him, Taylor accepted the challenge setting up a one of a kind match between the NFL star and WWE Wrestler.

8. Stone Cold Steve Austin/Shawn Michaels Wrestlemania 14:

Feud Summary: In 1998, Stone Cold Steve Austin was in the prime of his career winning the Royal Rumble setting up a WWE title match with Shawn Michaels at Wrestlemania 14. As if the main event didn't have enough star power, Vince McMahon added the baddest man on the planet boxing icon Mike Tyson to the match as the special enforcer. As soon as McMahon announced Tyson's involvement in the match, Stone Cold came down to ringside and challenged Tyson highlighted by two middle fingers in his face. Tyson was totally offended by Austin gestures and pushed Austin causing an all out riot. Tyson and Austin encounter only encouraged Iron Mike to side with Shawn Michaels and DX. With DX and Mike Tyson in his corner, Michaels seemed untouchable and poised for another Wrestlemania victory, but a rattlesnake is deadliest when back into a corner.

7. Ultimate Warrior/Macho Man Randy Savage Wrestlemania 7:

Feud Summary: The Ultimate Warrior had defeated Hogan for the WWF Championship at Wrestlemania a year earlier and entered 1991 as the champion. At the same time, Savage was also vying for the title that he had lost to Hogan at Wrestlemania V, and began begging the Warrior to give him a title shot. Warrior refused and instead Slaughter received the title shot. At the Royal Rumble in January 1991, Savage cost Warrior the title as Slaughter defeated the champion by pin after Savage hit him with a scepter. Warrior left the ring to chase after Savage following his loss and lead him to challenge the Macho King to a retirement match at Wrestlemania which Savage gladly accepted.

6. Bret Hart/Shawn Michaels Wrestlemania 12:

Feud Summary: The Hitman was in the mist of another WWE title regin when he came across and heartbreak kid with a boyhood dream. Bret Hart wants to retain the WWE title against Shawn Michaels, who had suffered a number of setbacks over the course of the year, including: losing his WWE title match the previous Wrestlemania only to win a 2nd royal rumble match to have one more shot at reaching his life-long dream. Rowdy Piper added more magic to this match making this a 60 min ironman match.

5. The Undertaker/Shawn Michaels II Wrestlemania 26:

Feud Summary: At WrestleMania XXV, Shawn Michaels was unsuccessful in defeating The Undertaker and ending Undertaker's undefeated streak at the event. When the match won the 2009 Slammy Award for Match of the Year, Michaels told in his acceptance speech that he could still defeat The Undertaker at WrestleMania and challenged him to a rematch. A month later, The Undertaker, then the World Heavyweight Champion, made his reply and refused a rematch. The refusal saw Michaels more obsessed about facing the Undertaker at the event, attacking referee Charles Robinson and SmackDown general manager Theodore Long respectively after failing his title match opportunities in the Royal Rumble match and Elimination Chamber qualifiers. At the Elimination Chamber event, Michaels sneaked into Undertaker's Elimination Chamber match for the World Heavyweight Championship and performed a Sweet Chin Music on The Undertaker, enabling Chris Jericho to defeat The Undertaker and win the World Heavyweight Championship. On the following night, The Undertaker changed his mind and accepted the rematch but with one condition, that if Michaels loses, he would have to retire. Michaels accepted, noting that if he can't end the streak, there's no reason why his career should continue.

Feud Summary: A week after Hogan and Warrior crossed paths in the 1990 Royal Rumble Match, Hogan put forth "The Ultimate Challenge" to the Warrior, and had to know whether Hulkamania or the power of the Warrior was the strongest force in the WWE. the match was officially announced as the main event of WrestleMania VI by WWE President Jack Tunney. Tunney announced that both the WWE Championship and Intercontinental Championship would be on the line for the first-time ever during the match.

3. Hulk Hogan/Andre The Giant Wrestlemania 3:

Feud Summary: This feud began when Hogan was presented a trophy for being the WWF Champion for three years, and André, his good friend, came out to congratulate him. Shortly afterwards, André was presented a slightly smaller trophy for being "undefeated in the WWF for 15 years" and Hogan came out to congratulate André, but ended up being the focal point of the interview. Annoyed by this, André walked out during Hogan's congratulation speech and not long after that, on an edition of the interview segment Piper's Pit, Bobby Heenan, a long-time Hogan adversary, announced himself to be André's new manager. André then challenged Hogan to a title match at WrestleMania III and attacked Hogan, ripping off Hogan's T-shirt and crucifix necklace.

2. The Rock/Hollywood Hogan Wrestlemania 18:

Feud Summary: The Rock's involvement with the nWo started after his win over The Undertaker at No Way Out, when a photo request from Hogan for his son turned into a trade of insults. On the following episode of Raw, The Rock interrupted Hogan's address to the crowd and challenged Hogan to a match at WrestleMania. When Hogan accepted and shook hands with his future opponent, The Rock kept the hold on and hit the Rock Bottom on Hogan. Before The Rock could leave the arena, Hall and Nash ambushed Rock and spray painted the nWo initials on The Rock's back. With medics attending to The Rock and loading him into an ambulance van, the nWo furthered the attack by chaining up all possible exits and driving a truck through the van with The Rock trapped inside. The Rock made his return and immediately challenged Hogan for a fight. Nash and Hall held Hogan back, leaving Hall to challenge for a match instead. Rock's match with Hall ended in a three-on-one attack by the nWo. The nWo's attack was stopped by Stone Cold, however, who saved The Rock with the aid of a steel chair.  Rock and Austin took on the nWo in a Handicap match, resulting in Hogan pinning The Rock after a leg drop.

1. Bret Hart/“Stone Cold” Steve Austin Wrestlemania 13:

Feud Summary: Hart and Austin's rivalry began after Austin won the 1996 King of the Ring tournament and began taunting Hart, who was inactive at the time. Austin insulted Hart in his speeches so Hart would accept his challenge to a match. Hart returned in October and accepted Austin's challenge, with the two facing each other at Survivor Series 1996 where Hart defeated Austin.[7]Their rivalry continued as Hart and Austin were the final two participants in the 1997 Royal Rumble match. Hart had originally eliminated Austin from the match but Austin's elimination was considered unofficial as the officials didn't see it because they were busy in a brawl between eliminated wrestlers Mankind and Terry Funk. They were participants in a Four Corners Elimination matchfor the vacant WWF Championship at Final Four, which Hart won. The next night on Raw, Austin cost Hart the WWF Championship against Sycho Sid when Hart had applied the Sharpshooter on Sid, Austin nailed Hart with a steel chair followed by Sid powerbombingHart for the win. The next night on Raw, Austin cost Hart the WWF Championship against Sycho Sid when Hart had applied the Sharpshooter on Sid, Austin nailed Hart with a steel chair followed by Sid powerbomb Hart for the win.

Former UFC light heavyweight champion Tito Ortiz will make his final Octagon appearance on July 7 against Forrest Griffin at UFC 148 in Las Vegas, it was announced Tuesday on the UFC website.

"It's on!" Ortiz said on Twitter.

While on ESPN's "MMA Live" in February, Ortiz said his next fight would be his last. Ortiz also revealed who he would most like to face in his final bout.

"Forrest Griffin! There's another trilogy," Ortiz said. "I won the first one. He barely skimmed away with the second."

Ortiz defeated Griffin by split decision in April 2006 at UFC 59. The bout received Fight of the Year honors.

Griffin returned the favor during their rematch, earning a split decision, on Nov. 21, 2009, at UFC 106.

The 37-year-old Ortiz made his mixed martial arts debut at UFC 13 on May 30, 1997. He defeated Wes Albritton by first-round TKO.

Ortiz, who has lost two fights in a row, is 16-10-1.

Griffin, also a former UFC light heavyweight titleholder, will look to rebound from a first-round knockout loss to Mauricio Rua on Aug. 27.

Since defeating Quinton Jackson in July 2008 to claim the title, Griffin (18-7) has struggled -- dropping three of five fights.

UFC 148 also features a middleweight bout between contender Michael Bisping and hard-hittingTim Boetsch.

Mike D'Antoni has resigned as coach of the New York Knicks. D'Antoni's resignation was first reported by Yahoo! Sports on Wednesday. The coach's agent, Warren LeGarie, told ESPN The Magazine's Ric Bucher that the parting was "a mutual decision" because D'Antoni and the franchise have "conflicting views of the Knicks' future." D'Antoni put the Knicks through a morning workout Wednesday and had been preparing to coach them against the Portland Trail Blazers. Instead, Mike Woodson is expected to handle that role. The Knicks (18-24) have hit a tailspin in the last two weeks, losing six straight and seven of eight to fall six games below .500 and into a tie for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. New York had high expectations coming into this season with Carmelo Anthony, Amare Stoudemire and Tyson Chandler on the roster. After struggling through the first six weeks, though, the Knicks went 8-1 in a nine-game stretch in mid-February on the strength of point guard Jeremy Lin, who electrified both the fan base and his teammates after being claimed off waivers in late December. But once Anthony returned from injury and the Knicks' recent slide began, the discontent from it apparently created a gulf between him and D'Antoni. The New York Post reported in Wednesday's editions that Anthony would welcome a trade, which he denied at the team's shootaround. The report also said Anthony was unhappy in part because he believed D'Antoni and interim general manager Glen Grunwald do not trust him. Anthony denied that, too. "I don't want to be traded," Anthony said Wednesday morning. "I don't know where that foolishness came from, so let's put a cap on that and make (sure) this the last time I hear about that." He added: "I support Mike 100 percent regardless of what is going on, as far as us losing basketball games. We all need each other right now and this is the best time to come together and stick with one another. ... There's a lot of things being said out there about Mike, about myself, and it's just a bunch of nonsense right now." D'Antoni tinkered with his rotation this month to try to spark the Knicks, to no avail. "It's my job to make (the players) fit and to get them to fit and to get them comfortable," he said Wednesday morning after shootaround. "For whatever reason, we haven't been able to do that." Before the season, D'Antoni said he thought the Knicks could contend for the NBA title. "If you have a center (Chandler) from the defending champions on your team that's 28 years old and is playing the best basketball he's ever played and you've got two superstars in (Anthony) and (Stoudemire), obviously you've got to compete for a championship," D'Antoni said in December on ESPN 1050's "The Michael Kay Show." D'Antoni was 121-167 in 3½ seasons in New York. He led the Knicks last year to their first playoff appearance in seven seasons, but they were swept in the first round by Boston.
