As if Seth MacFarlane’s stock couldn’t get any higher, Deadline has just broken the news that the Family Guy creator will host the upcoming Oscars on ABC. After the success of Ted, and his recent hosting gig on Saturday Night Live, it appears as if the Academy feels that he’s ready to take that next step in show biz. MacFarlane is an inspired choice because he can bring in a younger demographic – which Billy Crystal couldn’t do last year – and he can also perform musical numbers, impersonations, and a bit of stand-up comedy to inject some life into the aging awards show. We’ll see how he does when the 85th Annual Academy Awards airs on February 24, 2013.

Sofia Vergara embraces her curves. The "Modern Family" actress was once advised by her former stylist to go under the knife to reduce her breasts, but she refused it. "I always joked with her (the publicist), you know, they look better in the dresses but I look better naked!" she told the Daily News. She said the same thing when visiting Katie Couric. "She (my publicist) used to tell me, 'Maybe you should get to a more normal, standard size'," she recalled. "(My mom said), 'God is going to punish you, you can't chop your boobs out. It's crazy. All the women are risking their life to get boobs.' So I didn't do it." "I'm very proud of my body and the way I look. I would be ungrateful to be saying, 'Oh, I'm so mad because people just look at me and see my pretty face. I thank God for what he has given me and I take advantage of it ...'," the fiance of Nick Loeb said on the TV talk show. Of her wardrobe malfunction at 2012 Primetime Emmy Awards, she said, "I wanted to fix it or do something because I had a feeling we were going to win. I didn't want to miss the opportunity to go up there. I mean 'How many times in my life am I going to have?' I've already had three times but who knows how many more times I'm going to be able to experience going up there with my whole cast."
T-Pain has premiered a music video for his new track "Don't You Quit". The Internet-themed video has the Florida-born artist being surrounded by sexy babes who shake off their buttocks while he raps in front of a plain white background. "You make me wanna hurt you when you twerk that s***/ Girl, make me wanna post up pics Facebook, let me poke you/ Put that booty on instagram/ 20 more pics going instaham," he spits in the verse. "I got money, you got friends/ You think you bad, match me then." The Grammy-winning rhymer is also seen getting pixelated in the video and at one point he transforms into a Mario Bros.-like character. A steamy scene that sees him making out with two ladies is also presented in the clip. "Don't You Quit" is lifted off T-Pain's new mixtape "Stoic", which will be released in the U.S. on Sunday, September 30 at 6 P.M. EST on his official website. The project features collaborations with Big K.R.I.T., Pitbull, Travis McCoy, and T-Minus.

Fans of Miley Cyrus who have been waiting for her to release a new record should be happy now because the former "Hannah Montana" star herself has confirmed that she would drop her new album in a foreseeable future. Speaking to Billboard when attending the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas, the former Disney darling dished that her latest studio set was due in early 2013. Without revealing the title of her forthcoming album, Miley gushed that she "wanna make a sick record," adding that she would introduce a new single by the end of this year. The fiancee of Liam Hemsworth went on dishing that her next album would feature collaborations with Pharrell Williams and producers Da Internz, who were also responsible for hit songs like Rihanna's "Birthday Cake" and Big Sean's "A$$". The "Can't Be Tamed" singer opened up that lately she's been working hard to come back to the music industry. "I've been writing and working on my record. I've been in so many sessions and just kind of bunkering down and working really hard and perfecting everything," the songstress, who introduced Lil Wayne on stage during the iHeartRadio Fest, shared. "I've never really had time to do that, to kind of have my record kind of 'done' and then sit there and make it until it's perfect. So, it's been really, really fun. This whole year that's all I've really dedicated life to," the 19-year-old starlet continued. Furthermore, Miley revealed that she has met with some labels to discuss the release of her new studio set since her partnership with Hollywood Records remained unclear. She added that she's just "enjoying making the record I want to make before there gets be too many people. I just want to make sure it's exactly what I want first." The "Party in the U.S.A" hitmaker has released three studio albums under her own name with Hollywood Records since 2007. Her albums "Meet Miley Cyrus" (2007) and "Breakout" (2008) topped Billboard 200, while her last album "Can't Be Tamed" bowed to the third spot in 2010.

Pink is ready to hit the road. On Tuesday, September 18, along with the release of her latest album "The Truth About Love", the "So What" hitmaker brought good news to her devotees by announcing her North American tour dates in support of the freshly-released album. The Pennsylvania songstress is set to kick off her 25-date tour in Phoenix, Arizona in the middle of February 2013. She will stop by Toronto and Montreal, Canada in mid March, before wrapping the month-and-a-half trek in Boston, Massachusetts in late March next year. As for the opening acts, the 33-year-old singer still hasn't announced who's going to support her gigs. Tickets for "The Truth About Love" tour will be available from September 29.
