MICHAEL PHELPS BREAKS OLYMPIC RECORD WITH 19TH MEDAL IN SWIMMING!

Michael Phelps has always said he wanted to do something that no one has ever done before. He’s all by himself now, and ready to go for more. The world’s greatest swimmer cruised through the anchor leg of the 4×200-meter freestyle relay to earn his record 19th career Olympic medal and 15th gold on Tuesday night, etching a place in history as the most decorated Olympian of all time. “It has been a pretty amazing career but we still have a couple races to go,” he said. Now his remaining four days in the pool at the London Games are all about putting that mark even further out of reach. Phelps has three events to go — the 200 individual medley, the 100 butterfly and the 4×100 medley relay. He won’t be racing for a medal on Wednesday, when he competes in the preliminaries and semifinals of the 200 IM. The big race on Day 5 of the swimming competition will be the men’s 100 freestyle. James “The Missile” Magnussen of Australia owns the leading time going into the final. Nathan Adrian of the U.S. is next on the list, followed by Cuba’s Hanser Garcia. Other top contenders are world record-holder Cesar Cielo of Brazil and Yannick Agnel of France. Kosuke Kitajima will try to make some history of his own in the 200 breaststroke. The Japanese star could become the first maleswimmer to win the same event at three consecutive Olympics, although he’s a long shot after qualifying fifth-fastest for the final. Kitajima’s earlier attempt at a threepeat in the 100 breast fell short. Leading qualifier Kathleen Hersey goes for the first U.S. gold medal in the women’s 200 butterfly since 2000, when Misty Hyman stunnedSusie O’Neill in Sydney. Hours after Phelps earned his 18th medal — a silver in the 200 fly — and his 19th with the relay gold, well-wishers ranging from soccer great Pele to Los Angeles Lakers star Pau Gasol to fellow Olympians and teammates past and present tweeted their congratulations. “To be a part of that is something I’ll tell my kids about,” relay swimmer Ricky Berens said. “It’s just incredible to go down with him.” Phelps tied the record for career medals held by Soviet gymnast Larisa Latynina by finishing second in the 200 fly, getting out-touched by South African Chad le Clos at the wall. Phelps angrily tossed his cap in the water, a scowl on his face. About an hour later, he returned with his teammates in tow for the relay. Ryan Lochte led off, followed by Conor Dwyer. Berens gave a lead of nearly 4 seconds to Phelps, who churned through the water and touched in a cumulative time of 6 minutes, 59.70 seconds for his first gold of these games. When Phelps and the others huddled up before the relay, he told them he wanted “a big lead” going into his anchor leg and they delivered. “I started smiling with like 20 meters to go, the first time I think I’ve ever done that in a race,” he said. “I knew we had gotten it.” Phelps has 15 golds in his career, six more than anyone else, to go along with two silvers and two bronzes. Latynina won nine golds, five silvers and four bronzes from 1956-64. The 77-year-old gymnast was in the stands at the Aquatics Centre on Tuesday night and watched Phelps break her record, and she said she was happy for him. “I saw him swim, and I saw my record swim away,” Latynina told The Associated Press in a telephone interview. “He’s very talented — no doubt about that.” Lochte called Phelps “one of the toughest racers and one of the best swimmers ever to live. It’s pretty awesome.” In the stands, Phelps’ mother, Debbie, and two sisters cheered his feat. Wearing his 19th medal during the victory stroll, Phelps stood on a plastic chair and reached up to take a small U.S. flag from them. With tears in her eyes, Debbie blew a kiss to her only son. Phelps’ night started out on a sour note in his signature event, one that is especially meaningful to his family since his sisters once swum it, too. He hadn’t lost the 200 fly at the Olympics or world championships since Sydney, when he finished fifth as an unknown 15-year-old. Phelps, after leading the entire race, tried to glide into the wall instead of taking one more stroke. Le Clos took that extra stroke and beat Phelps by five-hundredths of a second. “I was on the receiving end of getting touched out,” he said. “Chad swam a good race. I’ve gotten to know him a little over the last year. He’s a hard worker, he’s a tough competitor and he’s a racer.” Le Clos pounded the water when he saw the “1” beside his name. “He has always been an inspiration to me and a role model,” le Clos said. “I’ve watched all his races a million times and I’ve run the commentary over and over. Now, I guess I can watch my race.” Phelps hung on the lane rope and buried his face in his hands, disgusted with himself for having squandered what looked like a sure gold. Le Clos won South Africa’s second swimming gold of the games in a time of 1:52.96. Phelps finished in 1:53.01, while Japan’s Takeshi Matsuda took the bronze in 1:53.21. “It’s obviously my last one,” Phelps said. “I would have liked to win, but 1:53 flat isn’t a terrible time. When you look at the picture of it, it’s a decent time.” The legacy of his achievements is pretty decent, too. But the kid who always said he simply wanted to be the best Michael Phelps hopes someone else is out there dreaming as big as he did. “Nothing is untouchable,” he said.

EXPLOSIVE VIDEO: MIRANDA LAMBERT-FASTEST GIRL IN TOWN

Miranda Lambert has unveiled a new music video in support of her latest single "Fastest Girl in Town". The country music crooner gets a new gal pal in this clip in the form of NASCAR driver Danica Patrick. True to the title of the track, the video really does go by fast and shows some pretty fast girls. Miranda and Danica step into a bar where a tattooed hunk hitting balls on a pool table eyes them. Miranda walks over to him and asks about his car. She distracts him with some flirting, takes his keys and passes them off to her getaway driver. It's a little too late before the tattooed dude realizes that the pretty chicks have stolen his car. An older gentleman tells him to get into his truck and a chase ensues. Soon enough bullets are fired and the cops are on their tail. It's a happy ending for the two heroines as they get away and the guy from the bar gets thrown into the slammer. The heart-racing mini-movie was shot in Tennessee and was directed by Trey Fanjoy. "Danica was the person I thought of immediately when I envisioned the video. We had so much fun playing two bad ass chicks up to no good," the country star said about her on-screen partner in crime. The GoDaddy driver also had nothing but praises for the country star, "She was really sweet. She's got a lot of pep and a lot of spark. She and I got along. I just feel like she and I are kindred spirits, and we'd be trouble together." "Fastest Girl in Town" comes from Miranda's studio installment "Four the Record". The album dropped late last year.

EXPLOSIVE VIDEO: GYM CLASS HEROES-LIFE GOES ON

Gym Class Heroes have released a new music video and it is for their track "Life Goes On". The track is a cut from the band's album "The Papercut Chronicles II" which dropped in November last year. "The Matt Chronicles" was added as a subtitle to the clip because it prominently features the band's drummer Matt McGinley. Most of the clip shows people moving in reverse while McGinley moves forward. It starts off in a tour bus and it doesn't take much long before the drummer gets up and begins his journey. He walks through snow-covered streets, hopping over broken fences and moving from one sidewalk to another. He soon finds a pin in a snow pile with the words "Captain Awesome" written on it. He finally arrives backstage at a show and heads straight for his dressing room. He puts the pin on and walks out to the stage to meet his bandmates and assume his proper position behind his drums and cymbals as a roaring crowd welcomes them. The video ends with a high energy performance by the rap-rock group. A short post about the video on the band's website says, "Sometimes you're the only one moving forward in an entire world tha's pushing back," pretty much describing the entire theme of the visuals. Gym Class Heroes' lead singer Travie McCoy worked with Danish singer-songwriter Oh Land for this track. She lent her dreamy vocals to the song's chorus.

EXPLOSIVE VIDEO: BIG K.R.I.T.-WHAT U MEAN FEAT. LUDACRIS

Big K.R.I.T. stars in a monochromatic video for his single, "What U Mean". Ludacris helps out in one verse of this pumping track. K.R.I.T.'s and Luda's names are spelled out at the start of the Decatur Dan-directed visuals with silhouettes of some sexy ladies taking the place of the Is. The letters appear to look quite simple with black-and-white color pallete but a few seconds in, a flashy set with cars, boom boxes, and other sound equipment is shown. A bunch of curvy, attractive women in the background are added to crowd the video. The lyrics are super-imposed on the screen for additional emphasis as the two rappers rant about difficult women. Ludacris sits on the hood of a classic car and even appears on a throne while he spits out his rhymes and lines. Aside from making a cameo appearance in the K.R.I.T. video, Ludacris just came out with a video of his own. The party-themed music video is for his first single, "Jingalin", that comes from Luda's upcoming album "Ludaversal". "What U Mean" is a cut from "Live from the Underground", the debut studio album of K.R.I.T. The record dropped on June 5 of this year through Def Jam, and it debuted at No. 5 on Billboard Hot 200. Big K.R.I.T. is currently doing a summer tour in support of his album. He will be at the El Rey Theater in Los Angeles on July 30 and follow it up by hitting several other venues in California before he hops off to Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and finally ending in Florida.

5 REASONS WHY CASUAL SEX DOES NOT WORK!

With relationships being things of the past, more and more people are looking for the new channel of interaction between men and women that doesn’t include countless headaches, fights, heartbreak, and expensive gifts every February 14th. What many are turning to is casual sex. Casual sex is something that has always been a dream of just the male gender, but now, casual sex has become something that women want as well. Sex has become something that is more of a sport and there just for pleasure rather than for two people who are in love with each other. Casual sex is, of course, the concept of having sex with someone with absolutely no strings attached; it is strictly for the pure enjoyment of both of the parties involved. Sounds like the greatest concept ever right? Only one tiny problem and no, it is not the increasingly high chance of catching herpes. Rather, it is the fact that this amazing concept of just having causal sex doesn’t work. It never has and it never will. But the fact that it doesn’t work won’t stop anyone from trying, as this has been going on since the beginning of time, but, as we all know, the shelf life you have with a casual sex partner is shorter than the lifespan of those terrible blackberry phones.

Here are the five reasons casual sex just doesn’t work:

1. Jealously

Women are naturally jealous and will always be. And when men get jealous, it’s more of a vengeance type of jealousy, whereas women are more hateful. These two different types of jealousies mixed together don’t mix at all. Whatever side of the equation you are on, if you ever see your casual sex partner flirting or even going on dates with someone else, you are naturally going to get jealous and feel like something of yours is being taken. Even though you two aren’t “together,” there is still a sense of entitlement that is far more than there should be if you’re just having casual sex.

2. Feelings

This leads into the next issue of casual sex: feelings. Feelings suck and take up way too much thought-space in our heads. The good news here is that feelings are usually one sided in the beginning stages. Females are more likely to develop feelings than men are because women are not accustomed to having casual sex. Problem is, when she does eventually develop feelings, she is going to want more than just sex. She is going to want to feel like she has more value than just a regular booty call here and there. And that is when things get complicated. If the guy develops feelings and she doesn’t, it’s even worse because than he just becomes desperate when this was meant to be casual. It is almost impossible for girls to continue having casual sex with guys without catching any emotions. There is just something in their mind that tells them they should develop some type of feeling for guys who are inside of them. It must be all the Disney propaganda that told them Prince Charming is out there.

3. Women hate it

Sure, they might do it because they just got out of a really bad relationship or they don’t really feel like having a boyfriend but still want the same amazing feeling of sex, but deep down inside they hate it. They don’t really want their sacred experience to be cheapened and they don’t ever want to feel like they’re being used. Everything will feel great for them while having sex, but afterwards, there is just no chance that they feel good about themselves knowing they just got used. Women hate it even though it is proven that women enjoy sex way more than men do – just another reason why women are so weird. How can anyone say they were used when they had more of the fun?

4. Short shelf life

The shelf life of casual sex is short, really short. You’ll be lucky enough to get it to the month point before she starts saying she doesn’t want to be used for sex anymore or that she wants more from you. That is the point where things get complicated because you know the golden rule: you can’t turn a booty call into a housewife. The worst part is when you slowly start seeing the casual sex relationship fade away and you just try to get that last bang in there.

5. Excitement dies down

It’s like getting new sneakers — it’s only fun to have for a week and then it’s kind of something that just drags on and becomes increasingly boring. Sure, casual sex is fun and all, but the first week is really where all the excitement is because you just find it amazing that you can have sex on demand. But then the casual sex gets boring and, of course, you’ll want to venture onto a new girl.
