THE HANGOVER 3 SCHEDULED TO TAKE PLACE IN TIJUANA

Though we’re all currently focused on the promising summer movie season at hand, production is scheduled to get underway on another high profile film later this year. We learned back in January that director Todd Phillips and stars Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis, Ed Helms, and Justin Bartha were all game to return for one last entry in The Hangover franchise. Deals were closed a few months later, with production set to get underway this coming September for a May 24th, 2013 release date. Plot details have been slim save for Galifianakis’ claim that The Hangover Part III would find the guys breaking Alan out of a mental hospital, but now reports have surfaced that suggest the film may not only find the Wolf Pack returning to Las Vegas, but also heading down south to Tijuana. Hit the jump for more.

Reports over at the Toronto Sun and Las Vegas Sun (via The Film Stage) claim that The Hangover Part III will take place mainly in Tijuana, with scenes also taking place in Las Vegas and Los Angeles. Further details are unknown, but Tijuana fits with the debauchery-filled locales of Vegas and Thailand from the first two films. If I’ve learned anything from The O.C., it’s that Tijuana is a very dangerous place for rich overpriveleged white kids people to be partying in.

Craig Mazin, who wrote the second pic, also wrote the screenplay for this final installment. While many—myself included—were disappointed with the copy-and-paste approach of The Hangover Part II, Phillips told Steve that the third film will be a new template and a new idea. Hopefully the third go-around with Cooper, Galifianakis and Helms will make up for a fairly pointless second entry.

5 POTENTIAL BOUTS FOR FLOYD MAYWEATHER IN THE NEXT 3 YEARS

Floyd "Money" Mayweather Jr. is pound for pound the best boxer on the planet. Floyd Mayweather Jr. is also running out of worthy opponents to face to defend his pound for pound status. For the past 5 years, all boxing fans have wanted to see was a Manny Pacquiao vs. Floyd Mayweather Jr. fight. Sometimes we never get what we ask for and after countless back and fourth issues about money, drug testing, ducking the other fighter, and promotional companies for the fight...many boxing fans have came to the conclusion that this mega fight will never happen. So, with that being the case and Floyd only having a few good fights left in him, Kaboom! Magazine has picked out five fighters that would prove to be great fights and worthy challenges for Mayweather Jr. Let's take a look at Money Mayweather future in Boxing shall we.

5 Potential Fights for Money Mayweather In the next 3 years.

1. Sergio Martinez (49-2-2, 28KOs): Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao maybe the marquee names in the sport of boxing, but if you ask any boxing expert....the best fighter in boxing today is 37 year old middleweight champion Sergio Martinez. Highlighted by a crushing 2nd rd. KO against Paul Williams in  2010, Martinez is without a doubt the most dangerous man in boxing. For the past two years Martinez has told anyone that would listen that he wants to fight Pacquiao and Mayweather Jr., he's even told them that he would fight at their catch weight and for 60%/40% split....each fighter has declined. Mayweather Jr. claim to fame and boxing legacy is his undefeated record and if he fought Sergio Martinez, there a 45% chance that could all go up in smoke; too high of a risk for the "Money Team". If this fight would of happened at any point in the past two years, it would have been Mayweather Jr. 1st loss, maybe even his 1st knockout loss of his career that's how good Martinez has been. Now, Martinez's new found fame has gone to his head making him very unfocused in ring. In his last fight with Matthew Macklin, Martinez struggled  for the first 7 rds looking disinterested at times before putting him away in the 11th. Floyd Mayweather Jr. may  not want to fight Martinez because of his punching power and knockout ability, but then on the other hand, Floyd would love the chance to fight Martinez because it would be his biggest payday fight not with Pacquiao and Martinez boxing style would be tailor made for stunning a Mayweather Jr. KO. Sergio Martinez has knocked out some of the toughest fighters in boxing, but he also been knocked down by the same fighters as well. Sergio always may get back up from a knock down, but it not the safest thing to do in a Mayweather Jr. fight and expect a victory. Floyd loves fighting on Cinco De Mayo, so if we would ever see a Martinez/Mayweather Jr. bout  it would most likely happen May 5th, 2013. The build-up for the fight alone would be one of the if not the best of all-time as it would be a marketing showcase between the two cockiest fighters of all-time. Father time catches up to everyone and it has already shown that it's creeping up on both fighters, so with only two good fights left in him and guaranteed money in the $60 million dollar range...it may be too good for him to pass up.

2. Victor Ortiz (29-3-2 22KOs): Now alot of you maybe thinking to yourself "Been there, done that", but if you are thinking that, you obviously didn't watch the Mayweather Jr./Ortiz fight past the 2nd Rd.  Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Victor Ortiz were involved in one of the weirdest endings to a fight in boxing history starting with a Ortiz's headbutt and kiss on the cheek then ending with the Mayweather Jr. sucker punch heard around the world. Now everyone knows that Floyd was clearly in the lead and could of beat Ortiz with no problem that night, but ending the fight the way Mayweather Jr. did; opened a great opportunity for a rematch. Ortiz was clearly not ready for that fight so early in his career, but the controversial knockout was actually the best thing other than a victory that could of happened to him fighting someone of Floyd caliber. Victor Ortiz would be the best candidate to fight Mayweather Jr. as the first fight post prison sentence. Marketing-wise, the rematch would draw viewers to watch on so many levels. "What will Floyd be like post prison?", "Can Oritz get redemption?", "Is this the passing of the torch?"; so many storylines that people will be glued to every second of this fight. Styles and backstories make fight, now even though Ortiz isn't Floyd's caliber of fighter, the backstory would make it all worth it.

3. Tim Bradley (28-0-0, 12 KOs): If things go Tim Bradley way, a Bradley/Mayweather Jr. fight could  be a fight between the top two pound for pound fighters of this decade...but that a huge IF. Only way a bout between the two fighters can reach the potential of being one of the greatest fights of all-time, Bradley has to beat Manny Pacquiao on June 9th. If Bradley beats Pacquiao, Bradley would immediately move into the No. 2 pound for pound spot making it almost impossible for Floyd not to fight him. Many boxing experts look at Tim Bradley as the 2005 version of Floyd Mayweather Jr...lighting fast, great defense, great punching power for his size, but he just haven't had that marquee victory to take him into superstardom. Both would come into the fight undefeated, but many would feel that this fight would be a passing of torch ceremony from one generation to the next, casting a very ugly cloud over the fight. Tim Bradley would have nothing to gain and everything to lose in a fight against Mayweather Jr. If Bradley lost to Floyd, he would never be known as one of the greatest. If he beats Floyd, everyone will say that he beat a great fighter past his prime like Leon Spinks did when he beat Ali.

4. Amir Khan (26-2, 18 KOs): Many feel that the Mayweather Jr./Pacquiao fight will never happen, but a Mayweather Jr./Khan battle would be a very very close 2nd. Trained by Pacquiao trainer Freddie Roach and spars with Manny Pacquiao on a regular basis, Amir Khan is being labeled as the "Next Manny". Floyd would love to take this fight because it would give him the best chance to embarrass Bob Arum, Top Rank Promotions, and Manny Pacquiao short of fighting Manny. Khan is the most talented fighter in the welterweight division. He fast, powerful, and intelligent; he also has the good looks and cockiness needed to be the next big superstar in boxing after Mayweather Jr. and Pacquiao are long gone. Khan is very brave and will not back down from Floyd's antics and mind games. If Amir Khan was smart he would wait until next summer if he wanted a chance at a victory against Mayweather Jr., but  his pride, fearlessness, and ego will not allow him to wait until next summer for Mayweather Jr. Floyd Mayweather Jr. knows that right now is the best chance to beat Khan and embarrass him infront of the whole world. Khan has all the skills to get the job done, but it well documented that Khan loves to take risk going for the highlight knockout and can get easily frustrated when things aren't going his way in the ring. Mayweather Jr. mind games and defense will prove to be too much in Khan's young career which could leave a lasting effect on Khan like Mayweather Jr. did to another fellow brit Ricky Hatton. Amir Khan will learn first hand that "All money ain't good money.".

5. Saul "Canelo" Alaverz (40-0-1, 29 KOs): After a very impressive victory over boxing legend Shane Mosley, Oscar De La Hoya has found a new "Golden Boy" in Saul "Canelo" Alaverz. The Mexican boxer has built up a very impressive stat sheet in such a short amount of time going undefeated in his first 41 professional fights. Oscar De La Hoya is already tapping him as the face of boxing for the next 20 years. Before the Mosley fight many boxing fans didn't even know who Alaverz was, but after he dismantled Mosley everyone automatically wanted to see Alaverz against Floyd Mayweather Jr. Alaverz is on pace to become the greatest Mexican fighter of all-time and it will happened if De La Hoya has anything to say about it. Alaverz has great knockout power and a amazing heart, well known among Mexican fighters. Even at the young stages of his career Alaverz would welcome a Floyd Mayweather Jr. fight and defiantly give his all in the bout, even with his inexperience in megafights. Oscar has already gone on record as saying a Alaverz/Mayweather Jr. Would not happen for another few years as he feels that Alaverz is not ready for the likes of Floyd. Alaverz was scheduled to fight Paul Williams, one of only a few men that people feel could beat Mayweather, but the fight was canceled due to Williams motorcycle accident leaving him unable to continue his boxing career.  Alaverz is due for alot of major paydays in boxing, he probably closer to fighting Manny Pacquiao than having a shot at the money team.
