Newly-minted MMG rep Omarion — or “Maybach O,” if you’re so inclined — drops “Let’s Talk,” his first release since moving into the house the Bawse built. Speaking of “the Bawse,” Rick Ross himself rides shotgun on this one, assisting Omarion in his attempts at wooing every woman within earshot with both his own golden pipes and a vocal sample from the one and only Notorious B.I.G. The song will appear on MMG’s sophomore compilation Self Made Vol. 2, which will be available June 26.
While the Rick Ross-assisted “Born Stunna” was the first release from Birdman‘s forthcoming sixth solo album Bigger Than Life, the Cash Money CEO has decided to go another route for the album’s first visual. The stunna formerly known as Baby puts his locs on and brings comrades Lil’ Wayne and Mack Maine along for “Dark Shades,” a sinister-sounding cut produced by Mr. Beatz whose video was helmed by YMCMB’s current go-to director, Colin Tilley. If you’ve ever heard “Bill Gates” from Wayne’s I Am Not A Human Being project, then you’re already familiar with this hook — taking lines from one song and making them the hook for another is a time-honored Cash Money tradition — and if you’ve ever heard any Cash Money record ever then you’re already familiar with this song’s subject matter.
We’ve heard the audio, seen the on-set snaps and watched the behind-the-scenes video, and now today we have the music video for DJ Khaled, Rick Ross, Lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj‘s “Take It To The Head” in its full glory. Director Colin Tilley (credits include Lil Wayne’s “John”, Tinie Tempah‘s “Invincible” and Justin Bieber‘s record-breaking “Boyfriend”) gives the star-studded collaboration the blockbuster visuals it deserves in a demolished subway setting. With Khaled’s Kiss The Ring album scheduled for a Summer release, this single could easily be the pop smash of the sunny season ahead.

As well as dropping off his Usher assisted single “Touch ‘N You” from his fifth solo studio album God Forgives, I Don’t, Maybach Music Group titan Rick Ross dropped off a visual accompaniment to his take on Rihanna‘s single “Birthday Cake” from her Talk That Talk album.
