B.o.B hooks up with 1st Impressions Studio for the video for “Ray Bands,” the self-produced single from his sophomore album Strange Clouds. Judging by the video’s luxurious props like helicopters, private jets and vintage Rolls Royces, it’s probably safe to assume that Bobby Ray spent some of those “pop dollars” he’s got on this one. The video is extremely clean and well-done, showcasing the skills of the D.C.-based 1st Impressions team.
While we wait for the release of his eagerly anticipated debut solo album Based on a T.R.U Story, 2 Chainz keeps the momentum going with a new visual directed by Decatur Dan for “Turn Up”. Featuring rapper Cap 1, the track is taken from Chainz’s previous mixtape T.R.U. REALigion hosted by DJ Whoo Kid released last year. The two rappers take to the club to perform the Drumma Boy-produced track and get the crowd jumping in the visual. Whilst on the stage, the two are joined by girls, bottles of liquor and other rappers including French Montana to get in on the action. 2 Chainz’s album Based on a T.R.U Story (his debut release under Def Jam Records) is set to be released August 14th.
Rozay takes a less-is-more approach to this one, doing nothing more than sittin’ up in his room like Brandy and smoking. No fancy cars, no cameos, no expensive sets and, for the most part, no shirt. Bawse. And, of course, Dre Films handled the director’s duties. Self Made 2 drops June 26th. God Forgives, I Don’t drops July 31st.
The DC Universe gets ready for combat once again.
