Bedford residents Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds got married this weekend in South Carolina, according to multiple sources. Maybe, just maybe, the “Green Lantern” co-stars liked the sound of it when a Bedford police officer mistakenly(?) referred to Lively as Reynolds’ “wife” when “The Proposal” actor filed a report with local authorities in July. Yesterday, the couple tied the knot at Boone HIll Plantation in Mount Pleasant, S.C. — not to be confused with the Westchester County town of the same name. For the reception, Florence Welch of Florence and the Machine performed a few songs and a DJ spun tracks, according to People. And, apparently, Bette Midler also sang for the occasion, according to E! Online. While the Hudson Valley often serves as a celebrity refuge from the paparazzi of New York City, perhaps Lively and Reynolds ventured south for their nuptials to escape local scrutiny. This summer, the couple has been spotted hitting the gym together in Bedford, dining at the Bedford Post Inn, and grabbing ice cream in Somers. Publicists for Lively and Reynolds did not immediately respond to requests for comment early Monday morning.

John Mayer is named as one of the people who received the dirty money from a Ponzi scheme. The "Your Body Is Wonderland" singer allegedly has as much as $465,000 out of the $100 million funds that Darren Berg's investment company swindled from investors. Berg has been sentenced to 18 years in prison for the scheme. Per TMZ, trustees are tracking down where the lost money went and are suing everyone they can to recover it. Mayer allegedly received the money via a booking agency that took the payment from Berg's company. However, it is unclear what kind of connection the agency Grabow & Associates and the company has. Mayer has responded to the lawsuit through his representative, saying "John Mayer performed at a corporate event in 2008 and was paid for his services. The opportunity was brought to John through his talent agency, CAA." No rule yet on the case.

A former New York University professor who claims he was fired after giving Oscar nominated actor James Franco a poor grade is suing the star for damages. Jose Angel Santana says he was fired for giving the A-list Hollywood star a D after he failed to attend nearly all of his classes at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. Santana, who has already taken legal action against the university, reportedly criticized Mr Franco for making “disparaging and inaccurate public statements,” about him. Mr Franco was enrolled in a fine arts degree course and was scheduled to attend a film directing course. The 58-year-old Santana claims he was sacked after giving Mr Franco the mediocre grade for only attending two out of his 14 classes. Santana referred to Franco as a “bully,” and is looking to be compensated for his damages.
